5 Things You Should Know Before You Talk to a Builder

  1. If a pool is allowed. Some areas prohibit the building of a pool. If allowed, consider contacting the permit issuing office for your area to find out what you will need to obtain a permit to build your swimming pool. 

  2. Access. Is there a large enough clearing for equipment (backhoe, “bobcat,” etc.)? Are you willing to remove trees, fences, etc. in order to accommodate the machinery needed for construction? 

  3. Your budget. When considering your budget, decide on the highest amount you are willing to spend.
